I had ten veneers put on about 20 years ago. They’ve been very functional, but yesterday one of them cracked in two and fell off. I called my dentist’s office, but they said it would be a week until they could see me. I complained about that, but they said it is not considered an emergency and I just have to wait for the next available. This is my front tooth, so I am very uncomfortable about facing the public with one of my veneers off. Is there anything I can do about it while I wait?

This should have been considered an aesthetic emergency and given priority. You don’t have to go to the same dentist for this porcelain veneer. As long as you go to an expert cosmetic dentist, they’ll be able to match it perfectly.
Look on the mynewsmile.com website. They list state by state cosmetic dentists who not only have the right technical training in cosmetic dentistry, but are also artistic in their work.
