“Since opening my office in 1980, I’ve worked hard to make dental care a comfortable, rewarding experience. My goal is to make sure the smiles you share with your friends and family stay healthy and attractive for years to come.
I do this by offering comprehensive dental care, including today’s most advanced cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry procedures, non surgical periodontal care and more. Equally important, I will spend the time necessary with you to fully understand your smile needs. This includes determining your expectations, answering your questions and explaining your cosmetic dentistry treatment options in great detail.”

YORK PA DENTIST- PROVIDING GENERAL DENTAL CARE WITH A FOCUS ON DENTAL IMPLANTS, COSMETIC DENTISTRY, AND OTHER RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY PROCEDURES
Though dental care has improved dramatically in the last century, people do still lose teeth. That used to mean a dental bridge, partial denture, or just living with the empty socket, but dental implants have been transforming the way dentists deal with missing teeth. Dr. Currie focuses on dental implant placement. His expertise can return your ability to eat and speak as you did before your lost your tooth/teeth. Dental implants are not only the most functionally efficient replacement for your natural teeth—they also prevent bone loss in your jaw bones, which helps preserve the natural contours of your face. With dental implants, you’ll be able to eat like you, speak like you, and look like you. That’s a lot of reasons to smile.

Good Oral Health is a Step Towards Better Overall Health
Recent research suggests that there may be a link between dental diseases such as gum disease (i.e. periodontal disease) and other health problems. There is evidence that bacteria in the mouth associated with gum disease may be linked to heart disease, artery blockage and stroke. In addition, studies also show that pregnant women with gum disease may be at increased risk for pre-term delivery, which in turn increases the risk of having a low-birth-weight baby. People with diabetes also often have periodontal disease. Given these potential links, prevention of periodontal disease is an important step in maintaining overall health.
Our overall health can also be affected when we don’t have a healthy bite and healthy jaw joints. Many people suffer from such seemingly separate symptoms as headaches, earaches, muscle and jaw tenderness or dull aching facial pain. These people are suffering from a family of problems relating to the jaw muscles and jaw joints and are commonly called TMJ disorders. If left untreated these problems may also affect our health and our ability to lead normal daily lives.
